St Joseph retirement home wishes to be seen and lived as a living space instead of a medicalized space. For this purpose, its Direction has, among others projects, the will to convert an underexploited aera with accidentology risk into a winter garden. We submit together, in partnership with Des racines et des liens, a project of sensorial vegetalized path to the Tango & Scan call for projects.

On the initiative of St Joseph retirement home, we conceived an vegetalized and sensorial indoor path dedicated to residents and teams.
It has for prime intention to stimulate senses (view, smell, touch and eventually taste) thanks to a range of various plants determined by Des racines et des liens during a workshop held with the residents.
It is also the opportunity of a re-appropriation of the space by adding tailor-made furniture to the existing furniture and curtains-dividers to turn it into a convivial and intermediate aera, between the private and collective spaces, accessible to residents and their families.
Finally, the risk of accidents on the inclined passerelle (due to a too high speed of people in wheelchair) is reduced by adding two vegetalized trays.
